Description

History lovers can learn about the activities of the Royal Mint in Bydgoszcz and the coin production process at the European Money Center. The exhibition features a three-dimensional presentation of the famous golden coin from 1621, considered to be one of the most beautiful European coins, minted in Bydgoszcz. The building also houses the "Bydgoszcz Treasure", covered on January 2, 2018 in the Bydgoszcz Cathedral of St. st. Marcin and Mikołaj, during archaeological research. Visitors can see a collection of close to gold coins (nearly 500 pieces) as well as ornaments and a few devotional items, the history of which will never be discovered again.The facility is located on the TeH2O Industrial Water and Craft Trail in Bydgoszcz.

Information for people with disabilities

There are 2 entrances to the building from Mennica street and from Międzywodzie. The building has a vertical lift without a shaft, allowing it to overcome the stairs leading to the entrance, to the checkout area and a toilet adapted for people with physical disabilities. There are no Braille markings in the building, no contrast or enlarged print markings for the blind and partially sighted. Possibility to visit the permanent exhibition and temporary exhibitions on the high ground floor.
